Croydon Whitgiftians & Trinity Hockey Club Merger Project
As part of the merger between Croydon & Old Whitgiftians and Croydon Trinity hockey clubs, I was entrusted with designing a new club identity. This project showcases my work on:
Logo Design / Kit Design
Role: Lead Designer
Objective: To create a new logo and kit design for the merger between Croydon & Old Whitgiftians and Croydon Trinity hockey clubs. The goal was to develop a visual identity that blended elements from both clubs to ensure balanced representation.
Challenges:
Combining the heritage of both clubs while avoiding a design that felt biased toward one side.
Ensuring the logo worked well across multiple formats, including digital, print, and embroidered kits.
Process:
Researched the history, colors, and key elements of both clubs.
Developed multiple design drafts, incorporating shared themes like hockey sticks, shields, and iconic symbols.
Collaborated with club members to finalize a design that symbolized unity and tradition.
Outcome:
Delivered a modern, unified logo that was well-received by both clubs.
Designed kits with colors that reflected both clubs' identities, improving the visual presence on and off the field.
